Domingo. 10.07 am.
Sunday. 10.07 am. I was sleeping like a litle child during the whole night. This time my neighbour´s cockerel couldn´t wake me up because I got home after it´s good morning songs. I was kissing a girl that was trying to explain to me that her friend also wanted to taste the rests of guayaba mermelade that I still had on my lips. Suddenly a bell rang. I usually have a very easy waking up, but this time it was quite hard. I could see two men with a sign in their bodies through the peephole. Indeed they were a sign themselves. This is a very common technique here in Miami, it works to indicate where can you find the best pizza place and also to persuade your senses with electoral purposes. Those walking signs rang the bell as much as my neurones punched my head. One of the guys was quite smart. He could feel that there was someone on the other side of the door and just put his ear on it to check it out. I would have opened the door if I didn´t know that in this country they can point a gun at you for nothing. I would have loved to see which side weighed more, right or left; the thing is that this ideologic orientation has nothing to do in this elections.
I don´t know if those guys were vote-hunters from Joe Sánchez or Tomás Regalado – both candidates to be mayor of Miami- but the way they woke me up was too much. It´s been ages since I´ve had an erotic dream and this visit in the name of “democrazy” didn´t allow me to, at least, begin the preliminaries. Maybe that´s why I consider these elections as an absurdity very difficult to beat.
The 3rd of November there will be elections in Miami. The thing is that it doesn´t matter if someone is interested in politics or not, you have to live with this aggressive campaign, where the votes are won by showing white teeth – incredible smiles the candidates have- phone calls of friends and friends of friends or thanks to those ridiculous TV ads. Is quite wierd to see that there´s no political party behind them, you just vote the person, that´s why they have to be super super nice.
Mass Media are also playing the same game. If the way the candidates want to win voters is an attack to intelligence, the way media is acting has no adjectives. “Miami News Times” is a progresive free newspaper with lots of readers. It´s known because they give the news a special treatment, different as other points of view closer to the way of thinking of the exiled cubans. This publication accuses Regalado of financing the defense of a terrorist that “put bombs from Little Habana (Miami) to Times Square” during the 80´s. Bah, we are used to this kind of attacks, we all know how the press acts. But what “Diario Las Americas” does, trespasses all the ethic frontiers. In yesterday´s leading article they claim: “DIARIO LAS AMÉRICAS RECOMMEND that you should vote Tomás Regalado for mayor”.
Each newspaper can do what they want with their ideology, financiation and their things. But this way of taking part, being so clear and with capital letters, means that they are not only giving a hand to this candidate, they are contributing to arise this campaign that is impossible to digest even with brandy. We miss more global critics, made by a generality and with a more sincere perspective. To dream is free, so let´s see if tonight I´m luckier.

Andros Townsend
Part-time Spurs winger, full-time England international. Andros Townsend has struggled with injury of late, but making just one more appearance for club than he has for country in all of 2015 isn’t a good look. And good luck is exactly what Townsend will need if he is to rectify that.
Outside of his exploits for the national team, it’s never really happened for Townsend at White Hart Lane. An incredibly underwhelming haul of three goals and two assists in 47 Premier League games since his debut in 2012 doesn’t evoke confidence, nor does it justify the reported £15million valuation bestowed upon him this summer. There was scant surprise when interested parties Southampton and West Ham baulked at such a fee.
The arrival of Heung-min Son will do little to alleviate worries over Townsend’s playing time at Spurs under Mauricio Pochettino, nor will the addition of Clinton N’Jie. With Nacer Chadli, Christian Eriksen, Mousa Dembele and Dele Alli all ahead of him in the pecking order, the 24-year-old is in desperate need of new surroundings. The question is: Who will pay the price and become his 11th club of a six-year career?

Heart disease describes a range of conditions that affect your heart. Diseases under the heart disease umbrella include blood vessel diseases, such as coronary artery disease; heart rhythm problems (arrhythmias); and heart defects you’re born with (congenital heart defects), among others.
The term “heart disease” is often used interchangeably with the term “cardiovascular disease.” Cardiovascular disease generally refers to conditions that involve narrowed or blocked blood vessels that can lead to a heart attack, chest pain (angina) or stroke. Other heart conditions, such as those that affect your heart’s muscle, valves or rhythm, also are considered forms of heart disease.
Many forms of heart disease can be prevented or treated with healthy lifestyle choices.

In other words, “anything that blocks the vessel,” said Lawrence Phillips, a cardiologist and assistant professor at NYU Langone Medical Center, in New York.
Ultimately, the narrowing can build up enough to cause chest pain and shortness of breath — called angina, or it can block the vessel completely, causing a heart attack. Heart attacks can also be caused by the rupture of a plaque that causes a blockage of the blood vessels, Phillips said. Over 1 million Americans suffer heart attacks each year, according to the American Heart Association.
Another cause of heart disease is an arrhythmia, a condition where the heart beats too quickly (tachycardia), too slowly (bradycardia) or irregularly. Symptoms can include a fluttering feeling in the chest, racing heartbeat, slow heartbeat, chest pain or discomfort, shortness of breath, lightheadedness, dizziness, fainting (syncope) or near fainting, according to the Mayo Clinic.
Heart disease may also be caused by problems a person is born with, known as congenital heart defects. Symptoms of heart defects in children can include pale gray or blue skin (cyanosis), swelling in the legs, abdomen or around the eyes, and shortness of breath during feeding in infants (causing poor weight gain), according to the Mayo Clinic.
Less serious congenital heart defects may not be diagnosed until late childhood or adulthood. These defects are not immediately life threatening, and symptoms include becoming short of breath or tired easily during exercise or activity, as well as swelling in the hands, ankles or feet.
Other forms of heart disease can be caused by weak heart muscle, heart infections, or diseases of the heart valves.

Five symptoms can indicate when someone is having a heart attack and requires immediate emergency care. These include pain in the jaw, neck or back; pain in the arms or shoulder; chest pain; lightheadedness or weakness; and shortness of breath, Phillips said.
Heart disease symptoms may differ for men and women, according to the Mayo Clinic. Men are more likely to have chest pain, while women are more likely to have shortness of breath, nausea and extreme fatigue.
A number of factors play a role in heart disease risk. Some include family history and age (if your relatives have heart disease or you are older, your risk goes up), but others you have more control over.
Much of the advice to avoid heart disease is the same health advice given for other conditions: stop smoking, exercise and eat a diet that is low in cholesterol and salt — cholesterol being the source of blockage and salt contributing to higher blood pressure. Other things to avoid in the diet include saturated fats, which typically come from animal fats and oils, and trans fats, which occur in vegetable oil, but have largely been removed from the marketplace because of consumer demand.
According to the NIH, diabetes can increase heart disease risk by as much as 100 percent, as the higher levels of glucose in the blood that are characteristic of diabetes can leave fatty deposits in blood vessels, which, like cholesterol plaques, can cause blockage of the heart.

Heart and blood vessel disease — also called heart disease — includes numerous problems, many of which are related to a process called atherosclerosis.
LikeLike
Atherosclerosis is a condition that develops when a substance called plaque builds up in the walls of the arteries.
LikeLike
This buildup narrows the arteries, making it harder for blood to flow through. If a blood clot forms, it can stop the blood flow. This can cause a heart attack or stroke. A heart attack occurs when the blood flow to a part of the heart is blocked by a blood clot.
LikeLike
If this clot cuts off the blood flow completely, the part of the heart muscle supplied by that artery begins to die. Most people survive their first heart attack and return to their normal lives to enjoy many more years of productive activity.

The result will be the inability to carry out some of the previous functions as before like walking or talking. A hemorrhagic stroke occurs when a blood vessel within the brain bursts. The most likely cause is uncontrolled hypertension. Some effects of stroke are permanent if too many brain cells die after a stroke due to lack of blood and oxygen to the brain. These cells are never replaced.

The good news is that some brain cells don’t die — they’re only temporarily out of order. Injured cells can repair themselves. Over time, as the repair takes place, some body functioning improves. Also, other brain cells may take control of those areas that were injured. In this way, strength may improve, speech may get better and memory may improve.
